Have You Ever Wondered Why The Moon Is Upside Down?

In Week 6 of Term 2 our class focused on how to write great explanations. We wrote about the Moon’s different phases as we are in the middle of learning about Planet Earth and Beyond. Learning how to write a great explanation will help us with our self-guided topics in a few weeks time. Here is my writing, after I have self-assessed and peer-assessed my work.

Title: WHAT IF THE MOON WAS UPSIDE DOWN…?

Introduction:
The great asteroid (the Moon) has eight different lunar phases that change every night. WHAT!
If you want to know more about the the great moon, read on.

Moon’s orbit around the Earth:
While the Moon revolves the Earth, we see further more or less of the illuminated side. Also the Earth is orbiting the sun at the same time that the moon is orbiting the Earth. Also people truly believe that the Moon’s phases are shadows but actually the sun reflects light onto the Moon.

Phases of the Moon:
Secondly, The Moon has eight different phase. That are Waxing Crescent, New Moon, First Quarter, Waxing Gibbous, Waning crescent, Waning Gibbous, Last Quarter and Full Moon. These are the phases that the Moon has. Meanwhile a cool fact is that the Moon is actually a asteroid.

Time management of the Moon:
The Management is really important to the Moon. This would help the Moon’s phases that come out every night. Thirdly, the Moon managment would help while the Earth orbits the Moon and the Moon orbits the Sun. Lastly the Moon’s management is actually really confusing and those eight phases are really important.

Conclusion:
Now this journey come to an end. I hope this explanation inspires you to write your own. Also cool fact is that the Moon is actually a asteroid. If you would like to visit this website check out the link: http://www.sciencekids.co.nz/sciencefacts/space/moon.html

HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED WHY MARS IS SO DANGEROUS...

TITTLE: HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED WHY MARS IS SO DANGEROUS...

Introduction:
Have you ever wondered why people don’t live on Mars.
Well today i’m going to tell you lots about Mars the planet.
These paragraphs are going to tell you  surface features, could humans live on Mars,
Humans Exploration of Mars.

Surface Features:
Mars looks hot in the inside but actually it is cold in Mars. Suddenly Mars has no carbon dioxide also Mars is really dry it’s like a desert with volcanos. Mars has the biggest volcano in our solar system known. Mars has a really thin atmosphere that is why it causes to be cold.

Could Humans live on Mars?:
Humans can’t live on Mars , Mars is an uninhabitable planet because it is very cold and not much except volcanos. Also there is only a little bit of oxygen and not one person has been on Mars. If people go to Mars then they could get skin cancer because there is not much in Mars except volcanos. Mars has dust-storms that could last for a month or two.

Humans Exploration Of Mars:
Mars is thousands of kilometers away and space crafts wouldn't have enough  fuel. Although Mars has a really thin atmosphere that is why it’s very cold.
Earth to Mars takes about 1.6 years and roughy 260 days that would be very long.  Most importantly, since January 2004, the robotic rovers opportunity and spirits have been trekking around Mars to get more identification of Mars. Mars has slots of rover still over there.

Conclusion:
I hope you now know more identification about Mars, our closest neighbor. Also if you want some
more key ideas then visit this website: http://www.planetsforkids.org/planet-mars.html. I hope this information report encouraged you to write your own.
